1958 Gibson Les Paul Custom, Ebony Black. Three PAF's. Here is a stunning example of a true Gibson classic, the ’58 three pickup Les Paul custom or Black beauty. This guitar has the usual appointments that one would expect. The overall condition is excellent. A solid 8.5 out of 10. The body finish show only minimal playing wear front and back. There is wear on the gold plating on the guitar, Pickup covers and bridge but overall it is in good shape. The plastic parts all black light correctly and a re stock. As are the Pearl tipped Waffle back tuners. As expected the guitar does come with three original PAF pick ups. Wiring harness and loom also look correct.
The pots are flat back leaded pots with the smaller Sprague phonebook capacitors.
The guitar come with a authentication letter from George Gruhn (Nashville )based on photos only, and another authentication 
letter from Rocker’s guitars UK ltd. Included in the paperwork is a family letter explaining that it was up until then a single owner guitar.
There a few photo’s of the owner from his youth and a more up to date shot of him as well, plus a letter from his son recanting the history. The guitar weighs 4.1 kg or8.8 Lb, The nut width is 42mm. The guitar does come with an original black Tolex, yellow lined Gibson Star case.
