1961 Gibson Les Paul Double Cut Special. Fantastic early 60’s double cut in cherry finish. In good overall condition, some light buckle rush, few marks and small dings as expected. Nothing major, no breaks or repairs. 
Please refer to the photos. Mahogany body, slim1960 profile bound mahogany neck with a 12” radius rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays.
The frets do show some very light pitting and have probably been dressed not very long ago. 2 x P90s with the usual 3 way toggle switch, 2 x volume and 2 x Tone controls. The bridge has been changed to a tone pro for better intonation, the original does come with the guitar. 
All plastics are correct, the truss rod bell cover screws have been changed at some point in time. The tuners have been replace with a set of repros. 
All the wiring, pots and bumble be caps look correct and untouched. 
The pots can not be dated as there is soldier over the dates on all of them. 
The guitar weighs 7.58Lb or 3.44Kg. The nut width is 40mm. The guitar is also fitted with Schaller type strap lock buttons. 
Comes with a later good quality non Gibson hardshell croc case.
