1965 Epiphone Al Caiola Custom In Royal Tan Sunburst. This is a really amazing example of this model in fantastic condition throughout. The royal Tan finish was only available between the first release of this model in 1963 and 1965. There was a shaded sunburst version out in 1965 also, that finish had some black in the sunburst. Later models (1966-1969) were finished in cherry.

The pickups are 2 x Mini Humbuckers with volume and tone control. The Gibson Rotary Varitone was adapted as a microswitch version on these models and renamed "tonexpressor switches.” This guitar covers a wide range of sonic possibilities as well as being an absolute pleasure to play.
