Here is a really cool example of a 1965 Gibson SG Standard in Cherry finish.
The overall condition is good with a few areas of belt buckle ware on the back through to the wood. The pots are dated to around the 29th week of 1965.
Patent number sticker pickups. Chrome covers and Lyre Vibrola.
Nylon saddle ABR bridge. Small type 1 pickguard. There has been evidence of a micro switch hole between the pickup switch and lower volume control. The repair has been very well done, even the wood grain on the dowel is matched in.
There is very little neck ware on the finish on the neck of the guitar.
Nickel double ring Kluson Deluxe tuners.
The frets look original and are in good shape and are still very playable.
The guitar has recently been set up and a new jack socket was fitted.
The guitar weighs 7 Lb or 3.21 Kg.
The Nut width is 40mm.
Comes with an original Gibson shaped Star case.
