1969-70 Fender Stratocaster. Here we have a fantastic hard tail strat in sunburst finish. Light weight string through Alder Body finished in 3 tone sunburst. Late 60s profile maple neck with a 7.25” radius rosewood fingerboard. Neck Thickness: 1st fret: 0.864" / 21.95mm, 12th fret: 0.934" / 23.72mm. The nut width is 1.610" / 40.91mm. The guitar has had a re-fret at some point in time so the frets are good and have minimal to not wear. Fender stamped Die cast tuners. String Through Body Hardtail bridge. 3 ply white pickguard with pearl back, the pickups are grey bobbins. 5 way toggle switch, the volume pots dates 2nd week on 1970, the middle tone pot is hard to date and the treble tone pot was replaced at some point in time.
The neck stamp date is a bit confusing on this one, and although we did find a reference online we do believe that it can not be right or the neck would be a 1971 according to the mentioned reference. The neck stamp is : 22 11 001B.The pickguard screws are repro, one of the bridge pickup mounting screws has also been changed as well as the switch tip. The guitar is fitted with strap locks. This guitar is incredibly light at only 2.9Kg or 6.42Lb. Amazing player and great sounding strat.
