1986 GIBSON FLYING V CUSTOM SHOP- WHITE. Here is a fantastic example of a rare Eighties Early Custom shop Gibson Flying V. The finish has beautifully aged, it is showing very light lengthwise weather checking lines but generally in good condition. Mahogany body and slim profile mahogany neck with a nut width of 42mm. 12” radius Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and 22 medium frets. The frets are still in good shape and can easily have a fret dress in the future when needed. At some point in its history it appears that it's had a replacement pickguard and pick up assembly as there is some little extra wood that has been shaved on the edge of the pickup route possibly to accommodate larger pickups.
All original loom and pickguard has been reinstated. Stamped number pickups, usual 3 way toggle switch and volume/tone controls. There is extra screw holes for the pickguard as the the one that was fitted must have been slightly off with the screws. Incredibly good player, and it weighs a very nice 6.8 pounds or 3.09 kgs and a nut width 42mm. Comes with the original lozenge hard shell case.Get £250 off the website price by purchasing this direct with bank transfer instead of PayPal. eMail/Call for details.
