2016 Collector’s Choice #37 A 1959 Les Paul Reissue Aged 'Carmelita'. This model is a reproduction of the original 59 with serial number "9 1953" from the Collector's Choice series. The original Les Paul did go through multiple owners and has been renamed 'The Claw', 'Hawaii Burst', and 'Carmelita' over time. This one is also number 53 in the run of guitars. This is also the Les Paul listed on Beauty Of The Burst Page 104. This one meticulously reproduced the original,  all the wear, the striking wide-figured maple and the red-ish cherry sunburst. Built based on True Historic specs it also features the original PAF Sticker Burst-bucker 3 Alnico 2 pickups on both neck & bridge. The reddish shade on the body back/side/back of the neck is also faded. Mahogany body with a double carved Curly/Flamed Maple top. Double carved round 50s profile Mahogany neck with a 12” Radius Rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays. Kluson single line Tulip/Keystone tuners. ABR1 Bridge and lightweight aluminium stop tail bar. Burst-bucker 3 Alnico 2 pickups Neck and Bridge. 3 Way toggle switch. The nut width is 42.5mm. The guitar weighs 3.81Kg or 8.46Lb. This beautifully aged guitar plays and sounds great. The guitar frets show minimal sign of wear, no problems with the neck or truss rod. Comes with the original Aged Lifton hardshell case, COA and tags.
